Projects and forms
- Start a project from scratch, from one of 42 ready-made templates on 8 industry shelves, or from a data file you already have.
- Save your own setup as a template and share it as a
.fwtfile. See use and share templates. - 11 answer types, including choices, dates, barcodes and signatures.
- Questions that show only when they apply, answers that fill themselves in, and required answers, ranges and unique values.
- Keep answers for the next record, duplicate a record, see records in a table with filters, and change many records at once.
Collect
- Points, lines and areas: tap the map, walk with GPS (it keeps recording with the screen locked), or draw with a finger. Place offset points you can't stand on.
- Edit shapes: move vertices, snap to nearby records, follow existing edges, split lines and merge areas.
- Photos with the time, address, coordinates and weather printed on them, markup on a copy, photos from the library, and a set number of photos per record type.
- Videos with their GPS track, and voice notes.
- Scan a QR code or barcode to fill a field or find an asset.
Inspections
- Inspection intervals and a list of what's due.
- Inspection rounds of up to 500 assets, which you can stop and pick up later.
- Problems with their own level, position and photos, kept open until a recheck closes them.
- A compliance summary report, and an end-of-day summary of what was done.
Maps and offline
- Google maps, and your own map services: XYZ, WMS, WMTS and ArcGIS.
- Save an area for offline use, free, at Standard or Detailed detail.
- Import GeoPDF, GeoTIFF and MBTiles map files. USGS US Topo and FSTopo sheets are trimmed to their quadrangle.
- Reference layers: files you already have, shown under your records and snapped to.
GPS, receivers and coordinates
- The phone's own GPS, or a receiver over Bluetooth LE or Wi-Fi. Android also connects over Bluetooth Classic and USB.
- RTK corrections with NTRIP, recording only with RTK fixed, averaging, antenna height, and an accuracy rule for each record type.
- Coordinate systems: every State Plane zone in US survey feet, international feet or meters, UTM, national grids, and any EPSG code.
- Heights in NAVD88 with GEOID18, with the coordinate and height data downloaded when it's needed.
Reports and export
